| DANCE ATTIRE Stage Dance Class Dancers; it is not our intention to have families buy all new items. If you have something that still fits you and does not match our colours you may still wear it. When you go to purchase new dance attire we request you follow these quide lines. Sloppy clothing, hair not tied up and improper dance footwear means that you are not welcome to take class. Being dressed accordingly is part of dance discipline. The studio sells Karen Clark Dance Studio flairs, capri pants, body suits, dance tank tops, hoodies, dance bags and studio jackets. If you are interested please check with the studio office. Dance bags are an easy way for dance gear to stay together. Please put your name on your bag and all your dance shoes. We look forward to seeing you looking your best. RAD Ballet Exam Dancers ; please follow the R oyal A cadely D ance (listed below) Ballet Exam class dress requirements exactly. PRIMARY DANCE CLASSES - 6 YEARS AND UNDER Tap/Ballet Combo, Tap, Ballet Girls: Bodysuit (pink please), ballet pink (Mondor tights) or socks, black tap shoes, pink ballet shoes,hair back off the face. Skirts or Tutu's are welcome. Boys : white t-Shirt, black shorts, black tap shoes, and black ballet shoes. Intro to Dance, Jazz, Mini Pops: Girls : Bodysuit, (pink/black), black flairs, black jazz shoes, ha ir back off the Face. Boys: White t-Shirt, black shorts, black jazz shoes. Hip 2 Hop: Girls and Boys: Loose fitting baggy clothing. No jazz pants. Hair in a ponytail. Shoes: Adidas Classis Shell Toe Shoes in black (they will have three white strips on each side.) These are available at Foot Locker. DANCE CLASSES - 7 YEARS AND OVER Tap Girls: Black flares, black tight top, black tap shoes with tele-tone taps. Hair in a ponytail. Boys: White t-shirt, black shorts, black tap shoes with tele-tone taps. Jazz: Stage: Girls: Black flares, black tight top, black jazz shoes. Hair in a ponytail. Boys: White t-shirt, black shorts, black jazz shoes. Hip Hop: Girls and Boys: Loose fitting baggy clothing. No jazz pants. Hair in a ponytail. If you are smaller than a size 4 - please look for Adidas Polson BK-WT (available in sizes 11 - 3.) Musical Theatre: Girls: Black flairs, black tight top, jazz shoes. Hair in a Ponytail. Boys: White T-shirt and black shorts, jazz shoes. Contemporary, Lyrical: Girls: Black flairs, black tight top, lyrical shoes - called 'foot undies - in beigh.' Barefeet are sometime welcome in Contemporary class. Hair in a Ponytail. Boys: White T-shirt and black shorts, black ballet/jazz shoes. Non Exam Ballet Classes: Girls: R oyal Capezio body suit (CC202), Pink ballet tights, Pink ballet shoes. Hair in a tightly secured Bun, with a hair net. Boys: White T-shirt, black shorts, black ballet shoes . ROYAL ACADEMY OF DANCE BALLET EXAM CLASS ATTIRE (RAD) Pink ballet tights, hair nets, bobby pins are available for purchase through the studio for dancers that require them. Pre Primany and Primary Ballet 5 - 10 years: Girls: Ballet pink short sleeve body suit, RAD ballet pink ballet skirt available for purchase at Ellswear Dance and Active Wear, white ankle socks, pink ballet shoes. Hair in a tightly secured bun with a hair net. Boys: White T-Shirt and black shorts, black ballet shoes. Grades 1 - 8 - body suit and skirt: Grades 1- 5 , and *NEW RAD Dancer Class - require a royal Capezio bodysuit (CC202). Character skirts are made to order please contact Ellswear Dance and Active Wear Grades 6 -8 require a burgandy body suit a sheer ballet skirt and a black character skirt available for purchase through Ellsewear Dance and Acrtive Wear Foundation Classes : Require a navy Capezio bodysuit (CC202). Please inquire at the studio Grades 1 through 8 - shoes, socks and tights: *NEW RAD Dancer Class - pink tights, pink ballet shoes (no split sole), may wear black character shoes with a (low or high) Cuban Hill. Grade 1: white ankle socks and pink ballet shoes (no split sole) and black character shoes with a low heel, Cuban heel Grade 2: white ankle socks or pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes (no split sole) & black character shoes with a low heel. Grade 3: pink tights, pink ballet shoes (no split sole), may wear black character shoes with a Cuban heel.
