| The Karen Clark Dance Studio Faculty not only loves to dance, but they also like teaching too. To be able to pass along the love of dance is indeed a joy. Focus is on dance technique, but it is also on having fun. |
MISS. LESLIE SPRY Miss. Leslie began dancing at the age of four, at the Lauri Morash School of Dance in Elmsdale, Nova Scotia. She is trained in jazz, tap, lyrical, ballet, and hip hop and has completed examinations with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing. Miss. Leslie has had the opportunity to compete and perform, both at national and international levels. Miss. Leslie went on to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Major in Dance from York University in Toronto. She has also completed her teacher-training program from Perform Art Dance Studio in North Vancouver and most recently performed at the 2010 Olympic Winter Game Ceremonies. She is very excited to join the Karen Clark Dance Studio Facuty and and looks forward to having a lot of fun this year! MISS. ROBYNNE SHARKO-STAPLEY Miss. Robynne began her dance training at the age of six through the San Pedro Dance in San Pedro Belize. She studied dance forms including CDTA Jazz, RAD Ballet, Al Gilbert Tap, Musical Theatre, Hip-hop, and Modern. Miss. Robynne has studied at several different studios both close to home and abroad including the School of Contemporary Dancers in Winnipeg Manitoba, and Danette's Dance in Campbell River BC. She has had the opportunity to train and performed with celebrity teachers and has enjoyed taking workshops and competing nationally. Miss. Robynne is a fully certified CDTA Dance Teacher and certified Fitness Instructor. She is looks forward to joining the Karen Clark Dance Studio Faculty and introducing some exciting choreography ! MR. JOEL R. DANYLUK Mr. Joel has moved to Victoria from Winnipeg to continue his education and to join his family. He started dancing at the age of 5 and enjoyed that feeling of being in the spot light. Accepted to the Canadian Dance Championships in Toronto in 1996, Mr. Joel was able to continue his love of dance while he performed with top contenders. Performing is a passion that Mr. Joel has enjoyed through stage shows, festivals, and competitions both in groups and as a solo performer. Mr. Joel has performed in Disney World and for five years was a performance member of the Nova Scotia International Tattoo. He holds his British Assocation of Teachers of Dance (BATD) exams in Tap, Jazz and Traditional Step. Mr. Joel is looking forward to sharing his love of performance with Karen Clark Dance Studio Dancers! |
