| This is "THE LIST" of Recital(s) and Dress Rehearsal(s) class break down. Please read your time and studio carefully as some times are the same at both studio locations. Example: "Mon 645 1-1" means"Monday 6:45 Studio 1 - 1st floor". This is not the performance order, only the break down of days. Thislist is also available for viewing on line. Tickets will go on sale March 29 through the UVIC Ticket office.Both Dress Rehearsals and Recitals are held at University Centre Theatre. More ticket, dress rehearsaland recital information will be available in upcoming newsletters. ______________________________________________________________________ RECITAL RAD EXAM BALLET GROUP REHEARSALS Dancers please attend the dress rehearsal listed next to your dance. The Wedding - WILL SPACE ON MAY 10 BEFORE THE SHOW AT 1PM Romantic Poem - WILL SPACE ON MAY 7 BEFORE THE SHOW AT 6PM ************************************************** KAREN CLARK DANCE STUDIO ~ 2008 RECITAL INFORMATION Recitals take place at THE UNIVERSITY CENTRE THEATRE. RECITALS May 7-7pm, May 9-7pm, May 10-2:00pm & 7pm_______ - Dancers should arrive 30-45 minutes before show time. Back stage check (when everyone is expected to be there) is at 20 minutes before show time. - Afternoon SHOW TIME is 2:00pm. Evening SHOW TIME is 7pm. - All dancers need to enter through the stage door. - Dancers are to go to their dressing area and remain there. - Only Dancers and Backstage Assistants are in the dressing area as show time approaches. - NO DANCERS ARE ALLOWED IN THE LOBBY OR IN THE AUDIENCE . Their chance to see the show is dress rehearsal. - Hair should be appropriately done. (see more information under Special Hints) - Faces look washed out under stage lights. Make-up will help us look our best. - After the show is over, primary dancers (6 and under) and Junior Dancers (7 - 10) will be picked up from the stage. Other dancers will go back to their dressing area and be picked up there. This announcement will be made on stage at the end of each show. SPECIAL HINTS - It is a good idea to pack a special game, toy, colouring book/crayons, to help pass the time back stage on the night of the show. - A little baby powder in tap shoes will help dancers that have bare feet in tap shoes. - Hair - primary dancers 6 years and under, (unless you have been asked for a specific style by your class teacher) we leave your little one's hair up to you. Please have it back off your dancers face. Dancers 7 years and older, two french braids down each side of the back of the head with the tails tucked up. Please arrive with your dancer's hair done. - Please check your dancers costumes. They will need them including their shoes. Often there is not time to go home and get what is missing. We don't have extras of everything. A missed costume/shoes can mean a very sad dancer. - If you wish to pack a light snack - that's okay...please send only water to drink, there is also a water fountain and please nothing messy as dancers will be eating in costume. - If you wish to present your dancer with a flower, please do so at the end of the show when you pick him/her up. - Our dancers safety and happiness is our first concern. We look forward to seeing them perform. ODDS AND ENDS Studio lessons do continue after our shows. The studio re-opens week of Monday, May 12. Picture week starts May 20 - 26.
