Futher information about recreational programs may also be obtained by calling our studio at 250-658-0445. The Gordon Head and Pearkes Recreation Centres are in partnership with Karen Clark Dance Studio. Recreation Centre Programs run in 8 or 10 week sessions and are a perfect way for dancers to start no matter what their age or ability. |
Jazz/Lyrical Class with Richelle Buckingham For serious students wanting to improve there technique and felxability. *New Class Added* When : August 24-28 Monday to Friday *5:30-7:00pm - Level One 7:00-8:30pm - Level Two Where : Karen Clark Dance Studio, Studio 1 - 4499 Viewmont Ave- 2nd Floor Pre Req: Dancers should be proficient in their dance technique. Please see Prereq when registering,. If you are unsure if this class is a good choice for your dancer please contact the studio and we can offer our suggestions. Cost : $20.00 for a drop in (you may drop in any day) $85.00 for the whole week Register On Line: A fee of $42.50 will be charged when you register with the balance of $42.50 being charged on August 24. WHAT TO WEAR? Recreation Dance Atire: Primary Dancers, 6 and under: if you have a body suit, please wear it. It can be any kind, any color. You can wear bare feet, but runners are not a good choice. Ballet shoes or Gym slippers are the best choice. Tutus are most welcome. Dancers should have their hair back off their face. Dancers 7 through teens for jazz: A pair of tight pants, dance pants or flairs with a tight tank top are a good choice. Dancers taking hip hop: Comfortable loose clothing, sweat pants are a good choice. If you are in a hip-hop class you may wear your runners, but please make sure they are clean.
