This is our last Newsletter in 2022. Classes are working well together and it thrills us to see dancers progress as we present new technique, combinations and routines. We know what direction we are going; now we have to go at the same time to the same beat on the same foot. Lots of hard work lies ahead and we will do it!!

Tuesday, December 20 - Thursday, January 5. Last class December 19. First class back Friday, January 6, 2023.
WEATHER OR NOT?
If we do have inclement weather (lots of snow, black ice) in the next few months, the best way to check to see if the studio is open is by checking this web site.

You can update your contact/account/payment information, check class times, on-line. Please go to our web site home page - click on the ‘Manage Your Account On-Line’ Log in with your e-mail address. Forgot your pass word – hit the ‘forgot your password’ button and away you go!
ALLERGIES ~ ANAPHYLACTIC
Thank you to everyone for taking care and making our studio NUT FREE. This includes all food that contains nuts too!
EYES UP PLEASE
It is getting darker earlier each day ... when around cars in our lot or on the street please be careful, don't bend down behind cars, keep your eyes up, stay to the middle of the parking lot when walking and look both ways before your cross the street.
COMPETITION TEAM & COMPETITION CLASSES
Competition Team Dancers please keep an eye on the ‘CompTeam’ button on the web site. All Competition Teams and Competition Classes take part in Kix 'N Rhythm on February 25, 2023
Thank you for bringing in donations to the Mustard Seed table. Donations will be accepted until 12/19
2023 RECITAL AND DRESS REHEARSAL DATES
Please mark these dates down and keep these dates open. All classes will perform in one rehearsal and one recital. We will head into our dance year with this goal in mind and be ready if changes are necessary.
RECITALS: May 05, 06, (2 shows on the 6th.)
DRESS REHEARSALS: April 25, 26, 27. The Recital Breakdown of what class performs in which show will be available in early 2023.
If you have more than one child dancing or a child taking more than one class a week, please be aware that you could be involved in more than one show. This would mean purchasing tickets for all shows you plan on attending.
STAGE STARS
Friday, February 24, 7pm, at Charlie White Theatre in Sidney. All Additional Performance Opportunity Dancers (solos, duos, trios, quads & special guest groups) will perform in Stage Stars. A shake down dance performance.

KIX 'N RHYTHM
Saturday, February 25, 6:30pm ~ UVIC
KIX 'N RHYTHM
Saturday, February 25, 630pm, at University Farquhar Auditorium at UVic. All Competition Dancers will perform in "Kix ‘N Rhythm.” A shake down performance for our Competition Team. Tickets will be available through the Theatre Box office, more info in January 2023
ATTENDANCE
We have many classes this year with out standing attendance. It is wonderful for class progress and so much easier to do costume measuring when there is a body to measure and we don’t have to guess. After Christmas Break – please, let’s keep up the great work. (Thank you Parents ~ we have a feeling you are behind this success story.)
Recital Costumes
Costume orders have been placed. By the end of January we will have some confirmations along with a photos of class costumes. When are Recital costumes handed out? We start the process in the new year as soon as we start to receive them. This gives us time to take care of alterations and make sure that we are all ready in time to hit the stage on May 5 & 6.

PRIMARY TAP SHOE LACES
It is time to say good-bye to the black satin laces in our tap shoes (primary dancers) Please replace the laces with a dance shoe ties (available at the studio office $6) or a piece of black elastic. No more laces, hurray!

Please note; Our KCDS facebook page is a private page, a request needs to be made and accepted in order to join the page. It's important we recognize your name. If your name is not in our system please also send us an email note with your child's name so we can confirm their registration. We look forward to in person viewing when it is 100% safe to do so.
