Coming Up / Vaccine Passport
Studio classes will continue to work on technique along with their performance numbers. There is exciting work ahead of us as we cover our syllabus for the year.
If your Dancer has turned 12 recently and you have not set us their proof of vaccine please submit their Vaccine Passport by clicking here. A reminder:

Proof of Vaccination is required for Dancers 12+ and/or any Family Member over the age of 12 that enters our building. This requirement has been in place since our opening on September 13, 2021.

EYES UP PLEASE
It is dark early ... when around cars in our lot or on the street please be careful, don't bend down behind cars, keep your eyes up, stay to the middle of the parking lot when walking and look both ways before you cross the street.
PRIMARY TAP SHOE LACES
It is time to say good-bye to the black satin laces in our tap shoes (primary dancers) Please replace the laces with a dance shoe ties (available at the studio office $6) or a piece of black elastic. No more laces coming undone hurray!

WEATHER OR NOT?
If we do have inclement weather (lots of snow, black ice) in the next few months, the best way to check to see if the studio is open is by checking this web site.

2022 RECITAL AND DRESS REHEARSAL DATES
Please mark these dates down and keep these dates open. All classes will perform in one rehearsal and one recital. We will head into our dance year with this goal in mind and be ready if changes are necessary.
RECITALS: May 06, 07, (2 shows on the 7th.) DRESS REHEARSALS: April 26, 27, 28. The Recital Breakdown of what class performs in which show will be available in early 2022.
If you have more than one child dancing or a child taking more than one class a week, please be aware that you could be involved in more than one show. This would mean purchasing tickets for all shows you plan on attending. Recital Ticket Info will be available in March.
WHICH RECITAL DOES MY CLASS DANCE IN?
The Recital Break Down information will be listed in your KCDS account mid March. We will let you know when it is available.
RAD BALLET
The next time with the RAD Examiner will be between May 24 - June 25, 2022. Dancers ready for their exam will be notified In March. The balance of the RAD exam entry fee will be due in March 2022.

February 25, 7pm, at Charlie White Theatre in Sidney. Additional Performance Opportunity shake down dance performance. Helping prepare for competitions. Tickets will be on sale TBA. Stage Start is our Additional Performance Opportunity Showcase - all are welcome to be part of our audience.

Saturday, March 5, 6:30pm ~ UVIC
KIX 'N RHYTHM
March 5, 630pm, at University Farquhar Auditorium at UVic. All Competition Dancers will perform in "Kix ‘N Rhythm.” A shake down performance for our Competition Team. Tickets will be on sale TBA
Kix 'N Rhythm is our Competition Team Showcase - all are welcome to be part of our audience.

Q: Can we join dance class in the new year?
A: Our registration is full for our dance year - we are not able to take new Dancers at this time.
Q: When is the next time we can join KCDS?
A: Our next registration will be in June 2022 for the 2022/2023 dance year.
Q: Will there be a 2's in Tutus class in the new year.
A: Yes, February 2 - March 2, 5 classes for $65.00. Please click here to register.
Q: Do Dancers ages 5 - 11 years have to be vaccinated in order to attend KCDS?
A: As the vaccines for ages 5 - 11 years rolled out in November 2021 they are not included in our requirement for Dancers 12+ to be vaccinated for our 2021/22 dance year.
Q: When will the 2022/2023 schedule be ready?
A: Our new schedule will be available in June 2022.
Q: My Dancer danced in 2020 but not in 2021. When can we register for 2022/23?
A: Dancers with us in 2021/2022 will have first chance to register for 2022/2023. Then we will open registration for to new Dancers.
