For now our plan is as below - however as time passes we are always reviewing things and will make changes as necessary. You can expect a more detailed start up plan to be posted towards the end of summer.
Studio Tuition Freeze
Tuition is frozen for April (Stage & RAD Exam Ballet Classes) and May (RAD Exam Ballet classes) 2020.
April tuition will be charged August 1, as we start back to dance August 4 - more info below.
May tuition for RAD Exam Dancers will not be charged.
When Covid-19 Virus hit and placed our Dance Year on pause, KCDS is heading into the final stretch. Routines are finished, costumes are handed out and we were entering Dress Rehearsal and Recital mode. We kept this in mind as decisions were made regarding our dance year. We choose to freeze April tuition and charge it on August 1 when we return to the dance floor August 4.
2020 DRESS REHEARSAL/RECITAL INFORMATION
NEW DATES - A note from Miss Karen
RECITALS: September 5 & 6, (2 shows on the 6th.) DRESS REHEARSALS: August 31, September 1 & 2 ~ Dress Rehearsals and Recitals take place at the University Farquhar Auditorium and UVIC. Dance Families will receive a 'New Event Confirmation' as to the dress rehearsal / rehearsal breakdown plan in August after we are all back on the dance floor!
We continue to watch the phases as Victoria opens for business again. I don't think the traditional recital as we know it will be happening. I do want to be able to offer something for our year end and of course it has to be safe and reasonable to execute. I don't have the exact answer just yet and will keep working on it and as soon as I do have the exact answer, I will be quick to share it!
