In the office this year is Miss. Mary Lou, aka: Mumsie, (Karen and Richelle's Mom), along with Miss Debbie, Miss Sue, Miss Terri and Miss Rachael. Normally there is someone in the office Monday - Friday from 3:00 – 8:00pm and Saturday from 9:00-2:00pm. To reach the studio office the phone number is 250-658-0445.

PARENT VIEWING - October 24-30
As long as things stay on track with our dance year we are planning on Parent Viewing October 24-30.

NEWSLETTER ON OUR WEB SITE
Our newsletters are posted on our web site on the 1st of each month. If you do not have Internet access please call the studio office and we will arrange a hard copy for you. Newsletters are very important to keep updated with studio information. Newsletters will not be sent to you – we ask that you go on line and read them.
CLASS WITHDRAWALS & REFUNDS

Withdrawal for KCDS DANCERS: October 31, 2022
KCDS Dancers: Written notice (e-mail is acceptable) is required for withdrawal from class (es) and will be accepted until, Oct. 31, 2022. Please submit your written notice to us by the 30th of the month. This will result in you not being charged on the 1st of the next month. After October 31, 2022 it is expected that dancers will remain with the studio for the dance year, Sept 2021 to June 2022. Performance Fee Costume deposit(s) $89.00 class charged on November 2, 2022 ~ due after the drop out date of October 32, 2022 and are non-refundable. The RAD Exam deposit(s) $85.00/grade are charged on November 3, 2022.
2023 RECITAL AND DRESS REHEARSAL DATES
Please mark these dates down and keep these dates open. All classes will perform in one rehearsal and one recital. We will head into our dance year with this goal in mind and be ready if changes are necessary.
RECITALS: May 05, 06, (2 shows on the 6th.)
DRESS REHEARSALS: April 25, 26, 27. The Recital Breakdown of what class performs in which show will be available in early 2023.
If you have more than one child dancing or a child taking more than one class a week, please be aware that you could be involved in more than one show. This would mean purchasing tickets for all shows you plan on attending.

COSTUME DEPOSIT: Costumes are an exciting part of our performance. Costume money deposit of $87 per Dancer per class will be posted to your account and charged on November 2. Some costumes may require your attention with trim/accessories in making the finished product. Costume money deposit is not a fixed cost, only a guideline. Competition Team Costume Deposits have been posted to your account and will be charged on October 2, '22.
RAD EXAM BALLET DEPOSIT: If your Dancer is in an Exam class the presentation / class award / exam deposit in the amount of $85 will be posted to your account and charged on November 3, 2022. The balance will be due in the Spring.

STUDIO CLOTHING including JACKETS
Studio Clothing including Studio jackets will be available to order on-line starting Oct 20 - 27. All Competition Team Members require a KCDS jacket. Please visit karenclarkdancestudio.com, log into your KCDS account and select “Search On-line Store.” Jacket style will change this year due to a supply issue. Dancers that already own a jacket will still use them as we are staying with the black/red colours. Jacket samples have not arrived yet. We will let you know when the samples are ready for trying on. Nutcracker Congratulations
Way to go ~ Miss Paisley grade 1 RAD Ballet and Miss Maika grade 2 RAD Ballet. Our dancers were successful at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet's Nutcracker auditions. Miss Paisley won the part of a polar bear and Miss Maika won the part of an angel. Look for them on stage when the Royal Winnipeg Ballet along with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra presents
"The Nutcracker" on December 2, 3, 4 at the Royal Theatre. Audition information was posted on our website August 21 and auditions were held on September 10 at Dance Victoria. CONGRATULATIONS!
Karen Clark Dance Studio is please to add ACROBATIC ARTS to our studio curriculum. Acrobatic Arts is a foundational program for AcroDance taught over 12 levels in progression; with each level building on the pervious level’s requirements. With endorsements from over 1000 dance teachers, physiotherapists, Cirque Du Soleil acrobats, ACROBATIC ARTS is universally recognized as the best program for AcroDance. ACRO Level 1/2 will adhere to the ACROBATIC ARTS curriculum. Competition ACRO will borrow from the ACROBATICS ARTS curriculum while moving forward with their competition style performance.
