PRIMARY TAP SHOE LACES
It is time to say good-bye to the black satin laces in our tap shoes (primary dancers) Please replace the laces with a dance shoe ties (available at the studio office $6) or a piece of black elastic. No more laces coming undone hurray!
2018 RECITAL AND DRESS RHEHEARSAL DATES RECITALS
Please mark these dates down and keep these dates open. All classes will perform in one rehearsal and one recital.
RECITALS: May 11, 12, (2 shows on the 12th.) DRESS REHEARSALS: May 1, 2, 3 ~ Dress Rehearsals and Recitals take place at the University Farquhar Auditorium and UVIC. The Recital Breakdown of what class performs in which show will be available in early 2018. If you have more than one child dancing or a child taking more than one class a week, please be aware that you could be involved in more than one show. This would mean purchasing tickets for all shows you plan on attending.
WHICH RECITAL DOES MY CLASS DANCE IN?
The Recital Break Down List (which dress rehearsal and recital each class will be in) will be posted on our web site and on the studio bulletin boards by mid February. Please click here for the list.
The next time with the RAD Examiner will be between May 27 - June 25, 2018. In March Dancers ready for their Exam will contacted via email. The balance of the RAD fee will be due in March. Exact days and times will be posted on our web site under the ‘RAD Exam’ button when we receive them. Please note exams take place between May 27 - June 25, during 8am – 5pm weekdays.
COSTUMES - Everyone please have costumes organized by March 31
Studio seamstresses are busy sewing and orders for ready-made costumes continue to be placed and have started to arrive. Distribution takes time and will start at the beginning of March (or sooner.) So if we get to the middle of March and you don't have a costume yet please get in touch with us and we can update you. Please remember having your dancers costume organized is your responsibility, but we are here to help. To find out what is happening with costumes please give us a call, e-mail us through our web site or drop by the studio office. Keeping in touch with us will be very helpful. Please label costume pieces and dance shoes with your dancer's name.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS LILA,
Lila, who takes Jazz and Exam Ballet and will get her 5 year medal this year, turned 8 on January 1. At her birthday party instead of a gift for herself she asked for donations for the KCDS 'Studio Life' program.
"Studio Life” is a program that helps dancers in our studio needing assistance. Miss Lila and her birthday friends made a donation of $100.00. We are so proud of her for showing such kindness! "We appreciate you thinking of our 'Studio Life' program~Thank you Miss Lila!"
DANCE DURING DRESS REHEARSAL AND RECITAL WEEK

RAD Ballet : during the weeks of May 1 and 8 will run as normal unless a dancer has dress rehearsal.

GRADUATION, 5/10/15/20/15 YEAR DANCERS
If your dancer is graduating grade 12/University or has been with us for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 years and will be receiving their award please confirm this by e-mailing Miss Karen at firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a message at 250-658-0445.
On February 20, All CREWS will attend between 630-8:00pm If their class time is before of after CREWjam they will not attend their regular class time - instead they will join us for CREWjam at 6:30pm-8:00pm. CREWjam is for February 20th only. The following week CREWS return to their regular class times. No Costumes during CREWjam - thanks! PLEASE REMEMBER: Dress in black wearing your CREW shoes!
