For Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Nutcracker accompanied by the Victoria Symphony

Age: Must be 7 years + as of Dec 31, 2022
Height: Dancer must be between 3’ 8” to 5’ 6”
Dance Victoria is pleased to host auditions for its presentation of Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Nutcracker accompanied by the Victoria Symphony. Royal Winnipeg Ballet will be offering five performances at the Victoria’s Royal Theatre:
Friday, December 2: 7:00 pm
Saturday, December 3: 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm
Sunday, December 4: 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm
Successful dancers will be selected by a Royal Winnipeg Ballet artist via the audition process and receive weekly professional training over a two-month period starting in mid-October and culminating with on-stage rehearsals and performances the week of December 2 through December 4. Rehearsals are scheduled on Sunday mornings and will take place at Dance Victoria Studios. Attendance at all rehearsals is mandatory.
The children are an integral part of the production, performing as polar bears, angels, partygoers and more. Every successful proponent will have the opportunity to perform onstage with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and the Victoria Symphony in full costume under the lights at the Royal Theatre.
Please note that an audition fee of $25 will be applied to each child registered to audition. If accepted, each child will be charged an additional rehearsal fee of $60. These fees help offset costs associated with the professional instruction and rehearsal studio rental.
Please note: Karen Clark Dance Studio Inc. is not involved in the RWB Nutcracker Auditions. The choice to audition is a personal one that is made by a dancer and their family. Dancers audition at their own risk.
