Recital Costumes
Costume orders have been placed. By the end of January we will have some confirmations along with a photos of class costumes. When are Recital costumes handed out? We start the process in the new year as soon as we start to receive them. This gives us time to take care of alterations and make sure that we are all ready in time to hit the stage on May 1 & 2.
Unsure of your dancer's costume fit? Please send us an e-mail.
We'll make arrangement with you to bring your dancer and their costume in for a fitting.
EYES UP PLEASE
It is dark early ... when around cars in our lot or on the street please be careful, don't bend down behind cars, keep your eyes up, stay to the middle of the parking lot when walking and look both ways before you cross the street.
WEATHER OR NOT?
If we do have inclement weather (lots of snow, black ice) in the next few months, the best way to check to see if the studio is open is by checking this web site.

PRIMARY TAP SHOE LACES
It is time to say good-bye to the black satin laces in our tap shoes (primary dancers) Please replace the laces with a dance shoe ties (available at the studio office $6) or a piece of black elastic. No more laces coming undone hurray!

2026 RECITAL AND DRESS REHEARSAL DATES
Please mark these dates down and keep these dates open. All classes will perform in one rehearsal and one recital. We will head into our dance year with this goal in mind and be ready if changes are necessary.
RECITALS: May 01, 02, (2 shows on the 2nd.)
DRESS REHEARSALS: April 21, 22, 23. The Recital Breakdown of what class performs in which show will be available in early 2026.
If you have more than one child dancing or a child taking more than one class a week, please be aware that you could be involved in more than one show. This would mean purchasing tickets for all shows you plan on attending.
WHICH RECITAL DOES MY CLASS DANCE IN?
The Recital Break Down information will be listed in your KCDS account mid March. We will let you know when it is available.
RAD BALLET
The next time with the RAD Examiner will be between May 25 - June 25, 2026. Dancers ready for their exam will be notified In March. The balance of the RAD exam entry fee will be due in March.
STAGE STARS
February 20, 7pm, at Charlie White Theatre in Sidney. Additional Performance Opportunity for solos, duos, trios, quads and select small groups. A shake down dance performance helping our dancers prepare for competitions. Tickets on sale February 3. All are welcome to be part of our audience.

KIX 'N RHYTHM
February 28, 630pm, at University Farquhar Auditorium at UVic. All Competition Dancers will perform in "Kix ‘N Rhythm.” A shake down performance for our Competition Team. Tickets on sale: Friday, February 6
Kix 'N Rhythm is our Competition Team Showcase - all are welcome to be part of our audience.

Q: May a dancer join in the new year?
A: Our registration is full for our dance year - we are not able to take new Dancers at this time.
Q: When is the next time we can join KCDS?
A: Our next registration will be in June 2026 for the 2026/2027 dance year.
Q: Will there be session Tot classes class in the new year.
A: Next Session, Saturdays, February, 7, 14, 21, 28, March 7, @9:00-9:30am, 5 classes for *$65.00, *includes GST

Q: My Dancer danced in 2024 and not in 2025. When can we register?
A: Dancers with us in 2025/2026 will have first chance to register for 2026/2027. Then we will open registration for to new Dancers.
