STAGE STARS
February 20, 7pm, at Charlie White Theatre in Sidney. All Additional Performance Opportunity Dancers will perform in Stage Stars. A shake down dance performance.
Tickets on sale Feb 3
KIX 'N RHYTHM
Saturday, Feb 28, 630pm at University Farquhar Auditorium at UVic. All Competition Dancers will perform in "Kix ‘N Rhythm.” A shake down performance for our Competition Team.

Program Names: The name you registered your dancer with is the name that will appear in show programs and RAD Ballet Certificates. You can make changes in your KCDS account at any time. Click here to log into your KCDS account
RAD BALLET
The next time with the RAD Examiner will be between May 25 - June 25, 2026. Dancers ready for their exam will be notified In March. The balance of the RAD exam entry fee will be due in March 2026.

PRIMARY TAP SHOE LACES
It is time to say good-bye to the black satin laces in our tap shoes (primary dancers) Please replace the laces with a dance shoe ties (available at the studio office $6) or use black elastic. No more laces coming undone yipeee!
2026 RECITAL AND DRESS REHEARSAL DATES
Please mark these dates down and keep these dates open. All classes will perform in one rehearsal and one recital. We will head into our dance year with this goal in mind and be ready if changes are necessary.
RECITALS: May 01, 02, (2 shows on the 2nd.)
DRESS REHEARSALS: April 21, 22, 23. The Recital Breakdown of what class performs in which show will be available in early 2026.
If you have more than one child dancing or a child taking more than one class a week, please be aware that you could be involved in more than one show. This would mean purchasing tickets for all shows you plan on attending.

RECITAL COSTUMES
Everyone please have costumes organized by March 31
Studio seamstresses are busy sewing and orders for ready-made costumes continue to be placed and have started to arrive. Distribution will start in February. If we get to the middle of March and your Dancer does not have a costume yet please get in touch with us and we can update you, 250-658-0445 or email. Please remember having your dancers costume organized is your responsibility and we are here to help. Keep in touch with us if you have questions. Once your Dancers receives their costume please have them try it on. Unsure of the fit? Email KCDS. Please label costume pieces and dance shoes with your dancer's name.
PINK SHIRT DAY

CREWJam ~ 2026

@ KCDS - 6:15-7:00pm
CREWJam is when KCDS CREWS perform for each other. Please keep this date open. Dancers are with us from 6:15-7:00pm. No costumes, dress in black with proper hip hop shoes.
WHICH RECITAL DOES MY CLASS DANCE IN?
The Recital Break Down information will be listed in your KCDS account mid March. We will let you know when it is available.

GRADUATION, 5/10/15/20/25 YEAR DANCERS
If your dancer is graduating grade 12/University or has been with us for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 years and will be receiving their award please confirm this by e-mailing the studio before April 1.
Past newsletter are still available. Please hover your curser over the 'Newsletter' button to bring them up.
PROPER DANCE ATTIRE PLEASE!
Dancers - thank you for proper dance attire. Wearing your proper dance attire helps us to identify your body placement and offer you corrections.
Dance Classes During DRESS REHEARSAL and RECITAL WEEK

No regular dance classes the week of April 20. See you at the Dress Rehearsals.

Photo Week: May 5-9. After Photo Week our stage dance (tap, jazz, open ballet, hip hop, ) year is over

RAD Ballet dance classes during the weeks of April 20 and April 28 will run as normal unless a dancer has dress rehearsal.
